Data d'inizio: 17 Aprile 2014

Data di fine: 18 Aprile 2014

The Faculty of Informatics is pleased to announce a seminar given by Martin Weiser

DATE: Thursday, April 17th 2014
PLACE: USI Lugano Campus, room A34, Red building (Via G. Buffi 13)
TIME: 11.00

ABSTRACT:
SDC methods are attractive for electrophysiological simulations due to their flexibility. In this talk, we investigate two aspects of this flexibility. First we construct triangular approximate differentiation and integration matrices improving the SDC contraction rate, leading to diagonally implicit Runge-Kutta sweeps. Second, we combine SDC with spatial mesh refinement and multiphysics coupling and investigate the potential benefits.
