ILEM - The Intuitive Loose Element Manager

Decanato - Facoltà di scienze informatiche

Data d'inizio: 23 Agosto 2011

Data di fine: 24 Agosto 2011

The Faculty of Informatics is pleased to announce a seminar given by David Thomas

DATE: Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011
PLACE: USI Università della Svizzera italiana, room SI-006, Black building (Via G. Buffi 13)
TIME: 11.00

ABSTRACT:
The first Loose Element Manager "ILEM" has now evolved from the early ideas of managing spatial discretization without connectivity. With it, the loose element approach has been manifested, resulting in a profound software concept and an adequate new way of thinking in element management. The latter turned out to be a straightforward, and yet very convenient consequence of dealing with generic elements that shall come without any initial relationship. The presentation will explain both this loose element principle and the ILEM software design on the basis of a small demo application. Plus, it will give an overview of the possible oncoming LEM development.
