ABSTRACT:
The aim of the EU project PuppyIR is to develop innovative services and interfaces that support children searching for and interacting with various kinds of information sources. One of the main outcomes will be an open source framework that can be used by developers to build services and interfaces for children. To demonstrate the potential of the PuppyIR framework we have built a scenario and demonstrator in a children's museum on The Hague (NL). The demonstrator tries to seamlessly integrate into the already existing museum infrastructure and enrich the children's experience during and after their visit.
In his talk he will present this demonstrator and give some insights into the development process, difficulties and potentials they discovered.
