ABSTRACT:

IT Architecture plays a key role in the strategy of global enterprises.

The organization, process and technology aspects of IT Architecture establish a foundation for the management of the complex IT landscape featuring thousands of applications, technologies and platforms. An overview of some key strategic initiatives is presented to show how the concepts of distributed architecture, component-based architecture and service oriented architecture are applied at Credit Suisse.

 

 

BIOGRAPHY:

Michael Azzopardi joined Credit Suisse in 2002, as the an architect for Online Banking in Private Banking International. He has led the architecture and project management of the International Banking IT Platform Online Banking solution. Since 2007 he holds the Regional IT Architect EMEA position in the CTO Private Banking organization. Before Credit Suisse he worked for Drestner Bank and Terranet Ltd. He has more than 10 years experience working as a software architect leading large-scale industry projects. He holds a B.Sc. (Honours) in Information Technology from the University of Malta.
