Speaker: Luca Previtali, Head of Technology, data and innovation - BancaStato
Abstract: Innovation in banking can feel like walking a tightrope: exciting, fast-moving, but full of rules. I’ll share real-world experiences of how we drive AI and data innovation while keeping it safe, ethical, and compliant. From data and AI governance to risk management, cloud security, and regulatory frameworks, we’ll explore how to turn constraints into creative fuel. Learn how to make AI projects not only powerful and impactful, but also trustworthy—proving that innovation can be both exciting and compliant to regulations.
Biography: Luca Previtali has been Head of the Technology, data and innovation at BancaStato since 2022, where he oversees ICT infrastructure and services, cyber operations, data management, technological innovation, and the Bank’s AI adoption strategy. Previously, he spent more than twenty years in senior management roles at ETH Zurich, driving ICT and business strategies as well as major technological and organizational transformations. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from ETH Zurich (2001) and an Executive MBA from the University of Oxford (2020).
