IFIP Working Group 2.16.

Working Group 2.16 on Language Design of Technical Committee 2 of IFIP, the International Federation for Information Processing, will meet in Serpiano from March 30 to April 4, to discuss programming language design issues. Programming languages are not just a medium for instructing computers — they are a medium for expressing software designs and for communicating such designs to other human beings. The working group combines mathematics, science, and engineering with an understanding of the human element.
