Speaker: Prof. Anna Förster, Universität Bremen

Abstract:
There are many applications and technologies for the Internet of Things, but not so many directly support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. In this talk, I will present you with an overview of some sample applications from my ongoing research, including livestock protection from wolves, underground monitoring, and mosquito vector counting. I will explain how these applications are implemented and how they contribute to the SDGs. Furthermore, we will discuss some open challenges and future research directions.
