Staff - Faculty of Informatics
28 September 2008
From August 25 to 28, 2008, the USI Faculty of Informatics welcomed on the Lugano campus six young students from Ticino (1) and from the German-speaking part of Switzerland (5) for the “Fascinating Informatics” study week, in collaboration with the Schweizer Jugend Forscht foundation.
These young talents worked with enthusiasm on a wide range of projects proposed by our researchers, such as: web applications, iPhone apps, the Mindstorm Lego Robot, 3D programs.
In addition to developing the assigned projects, their task was also to prepare a poster to illustrate them and their related final report.
Finally, on Friday, August 29, at the Technopark Zürich, for the “informatica08” initiative, the final presentation of all the projects developed by the 44 young students – hailing from all over Switzerland – who took part in the nation-wide event and who spent the study week at USI, Universities of Basel, Neuchâtel and Zurich, ETH Zurich, and the University of Applied Sciences at Brugg/Windisch was held.
