Staff - Faculty of Informatics

10 September 2011

From September 5 to 10, 2011, the USI Faculty of Informatics welcomed on the Lugano campus five young students from Ticino (2), Zurich (1), Schwyz (1) and Valais (1) for the “Fascinating Informatics” study week, in collaboration with the Schweizer Jugend Forscht foundation.

These young talents worked with enthusiasm on a wide range of projects proposed by our researchers, such as: web applications, iPhone apps, the Mindstorm Lego Robot, 3D videogames design.

In addition to developing the assigned projects, their task was also to prepare a poster to illustrate them and their related final report.

Finally, on Saturday, September 10, at USI - for the first time - the final presentation of all the projects developed by the 25 young students – hailing from all over Switzelrand – who took part in the nation-wide event and who spent the study week at USI, Universities of Basel and Neuchâtel, and the University of Applied Sciences at Brugg/Windisch was held.
