Abstract:

Since the last 20 years, the database research community is dealing with the development of approaches for supporting keyword search in relational databases. The lack of commercial tools implementing the techniques proposed in the literature demonstrates that  building a search engine for structured data is still an open challenge. This seminar will provide an overview of the main issues in the area, the solutions proposed and the open challenges.
