Prof. Igor Pivkin in the finals of the ACM Gordon Bell Prize

PhD student Kirill Lykov and Prof. Igor Pivkin from the Institute of Computational Science at the faculty of Informatics have reached the finals of the ACM Gordon Bell Prize. Together with researchers from ETHZ, Brown University, NVIDIA, CNR and University of Rome, the team used supercomputers to run state-of-the-art simulations of the flow of micron-sized blood cells and tumor cells.
The Gordon Bell Prize is awarded each year to recognize outstanding achievement in high-performance computing.
