The IEEE Student Branch Lugano is pleased to announce a one-day workshop on Future Trends in Supercomputing

The workshop includes guided tour of the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre
The occasion of the workshop is the celebration of the IEEE day. Even that the IEEE day is officially on October 1, we have chosen to organize the event on Friday, October 4, so that participants, coming from outside Lugano, would be able to extend their stay and enjoy the city during the weekend.
The workshop on Future Trends in Supercomputing will include two talks in the late morning (by Prof. Parrinello and Prof. Krause) and a visit of the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre in the afternoon followed by a presentation on IEEE vision by Prof. Piuri .
The event is co-sponsored by the IEEE Switzerland and the Università della Svizzera italiana (including the visit and lunch).
Symbolic fees apply mainly as confirmation of attendance.
Students that are not yet members will be offered one-year IEEE membership voucher.
