ABSTRACT:
In this talk, we describe some of the relevance challenges we faced at Bing, and explain the strategies we took to resolve them. We provide a few examples of the application of query logs for classifying the queries and improving the relevance.
We also discuss some of the shortcomings of typical web search evaluation measures, and suggest alternative click-based metrics that can be used instead.
