ABSTRACT:
The seminar will introduce a novel formalisation of context-aware
information retrieval which advances the theory of the vector space
model and of probabilistic retrieval. An experimental investigation in
the context of enhanced implicit feedback tailored for personalized
information access will also be illustrated. The results of some
experiments using rich interaction logs demonstrate the expressiveness
of the formalisation developing implicit feedback algorithms.
