Prof. Andrea Rizzoli, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Informatics and Director of the Dalle Molle Institute for Artificial Intelligence (IDSIA USI-SUPSI) took part in the prestigious conference Impact'25, one of the most important European events dedicated to technological, economic and social innovation, which this year took place in Poznań (Poland) on 14 and 15 May.
The event, which annually draws politicians, business leaders, institutional representatives, and academics, has become a vital forum for discussing the future of the economy and society. The conference tackles important contemporary issues, such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, digital health, mobility, smart cities, and Industry 5.0, offering a platform for dialogue on the ongoing transformations.
Professor Rizzoli represented Switzerland at the Swiss House Pavilion, joined by Professor Thomas H. Zurbuchen and Hubert Klumpnerr from ETH Zurich. Switzerland, known for its high ranking in innovative capacity, was chosen as the first official partner country in the conference's history, now in its tenth edition. This symbolic choice recognises the Confederation's central role as a reliable partner in international debates on science, technology, sustainability and business development.
During the event, Rizzoli spoke on the panel "The impact of generative AI: what does it really bring to the table?" a round table dedicated to the implications of generative artificial intelligence. The video of his speech is available below.
