The Institute of Public Health (IPH) is pleased to announce the upcoming edition of the Swiss Dementia Forum, scheduled for November 6–7, 2025, in Bern at the Eventforum Bern.

Organized by the Swiss Network for Dementia Research (SNDR), the Forum serves as an important platform for dialogue and exchange among all stakeholders involved in dementia research, care, and innovation. The event welcomes a wide audience including researchers, clinicians, caregivers, AI experts, as well as students and anyone interested in deepening their knowledge of dementia.

The conference scientific committee includes Prof. Emiliano Albanese, Director of the IPH, who will chair the session:
“Public Health Perspectives of Dementia”, featuring the following speakers:

  • Prof. Mauricio Avendano, University of Lausanne, speaking on “Public Policy, Cognitive Health and Dementia: Insights from Natural Experiments”

  • Dr. Alessandro Blasimme, ETH Zurich, presenting on “Early Detection, Brain Health and Ground-State Prevention: Ethical and Conceptual Challenges for Cognitive Public Health”

IPH warmly invites the national and international scientific community to submit contributions for posters and lightning talks. The abstract submission deadline has been extended to June 1, 2025.

Registration is already open for the event, with the opportunity to benefit from the early bird rate.

Participation is also valid for continuing education credits.
