On 10 December, a Master Class dedicated to the relationship between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and wealth management was held at the East Campus of Università della Svizzera italiana (USI). The event, the first in Lugano, was organised by the Swiss Association of Wealth Managers (SAM) in collaboration with USI.

The ASG Master Class brought together professionals, academics, and students to explore how AI is redefining investment strategies, risk management, and the personalisation of financial services. The discussions demonstrated that AI is not just a tool for decision-making support; it can also drive significant change in the financial sector.

Speakers at the event included Prof. Luca Maria Gambardella, Full Professor at the Faculty of Informatics and Pro-Rector for Innovation and Corporate Relations, Prof. Laurent Frésard, Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Prof. Alberto Plazzi, Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics.

The collaboration between USI and SAM highlighted the importance of fostering interactions and knowledge exchange between academia and professional settings while sharing insights and innovative ideas.
