The tenth Voxxed Days Ticino will be held on Friday, 17 January 2025, at Palazzo dei Congressi Lugano. The event is co-organised by SUPSI Institute for Information Systems and Networking (ISIN) and USI Faculty of Informatics, supported by Exteso. An international initiative from developers for developers.

The Voxxed Days Ticino is a unique technology event for the software developer community. Originating as a spin-off of Devoxx and held worldwide, Voxxed Days consists of training sessions organised by programmers. These events bring together internationally and locally renowned speakers, leading companies, and software engineers eager to expand their knowledge, refine their skills, exchange ideas, and find inspiration. The event, scheduled as the first on the agenda for 2025, is co-organised by the SUPSI Institute for Information Systems and Networking, the Faculty of Informatics at USI, and Exteso. 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of Voxxed Days Ticino, which will take place once again at Palazzo dei Congressi Lugano on Friday, 17 January 2025. The event will feature a dynamic lineup of presentations from both national and international speakers, addressing an audience of hundreds of developers, companies, and sponsors from Ticino, Switzerland, and Northern Italy.

In line with tradition, the discussions will offer a current and comprehensive overview of the major innovations in the development sector. Key topics will include Architecture, Java, Blockchain, Build and Deploy, People and Culture, Data and AI, Security, Development Practices, and Web and UI/UX. Speakers at the 10th edition will include: Sergi Almar, Yingkun Bai, Nikhil Barthwal, Luca Caputo, Matteo Codogno, Roberto Cortez, Giovanni Degiorgi, Mattia Dell'Oca, Kevin Dubois, Mario Fusco, Viktor Gamov, Daniel Garnier-Moiroux, Michele Giacobazzi, Grace Jansen, Stephan Janssen, Vadym Kazulkin, François Martin, Francesco Nigro, Grzegorz Piwowarek, Andrea Rubino, Ixchel Ruiz, Baruch Sadogursky, Carlos Sanchez, Cristian Schuszter, Luca Vajani, Maarten Vandeperre, Christian Woerz, Pawel Zajaczkowski, Daniele Zonca and Paco van Beckhoven. The event will be preceded by three workshops on Thursday, 16 January 2025, at the USI-SUPSI East Campus. With limited spots available, these workshops offer a unique opportunity to dive into the Voxxed community and learn, develop, and share knowledge with industry experts.

"Voxxed Days Ticino is a unique technological event addressed to a competent and prepared audience of developers," comments Federico Yankelevich, organiser of Voxxed Days since its first edition. The Ticino edition of Voxxed Days is the first on the agenda, alongside the CERN event in Geneva, which are organised back-to-back. "We are happy to have the support of USI and SUPSI as co-organisers. One of the ingredients for the success of Voxxed is precisely the quality of the topics and excellence of the speakers taking turns on the day".

Tiziano Leidi, Programme Committee Chair of Voxxed Days Ticino and Director of SUPSI Institute for Information Systems and Networking expressed great satisfaction with the programme for the 2025 edition, which coincides with a special occasion: "This year, we are celebrating 30 years of Java—a milestone that has significantly impacted the history of software development. Our goal for Voxxed Days Ticino 2025 is to create an event that serves as a landmark for developers, celebrating the achievements of the past while looking forward to an exciting future". Leidi also emphasised the importance of the programme's variety and innovation: "2025 marks a new step forward for Voxxed Days Ticino, with a selection of new content, reflecting emerging trends in information technology, for example in the field of generative AI". Leidi concludes: "Voxxed Days Ticino is a significant opportunity for SUPSI to strengthen its role as a link between the academic and professional sectors. This event promotes the exchange of knowledge and technological innovation. Therefore, co-organising such an important event is both a strategic and natural choice for us".

"We are excited to play an active role in organising an event that is highly relevant to the developer community. At the USI Faculty of Informatics, we are dedicated to training highly qualified future professionals and developing cutting-edge research projects. Our goal is to promote technology transfer that benefits local companies in key areas of computer science research, such as software engineering, data science, and artificial intelligence. Additionally, we collaborate closely with local businesses, providing them access to the results of our world-class research projects that push the boundaries of technological innovation. In this context, initiatives such as Voxxed Days Ticino play a crucial role in creating synergies between innovative companies, software engineers and academic groups. We are delighted to work alongside SUPSI and Exteso to manage and make this event unique, which serves as an exceptional platform for exchanging ideas and fostering shared innovation!" says Marc Langheinrich, Dean of USI Faculty of Informatics USI.
