Graduation ceremony for the Faculties of Lugano

The two USI graduation ceremonies were held today at the LAC, Lugano arte e cultura, which brought together all the Faculties of Lugano. In the presence of institutional and political authorities, the Bachelor, Master and Doctorate diplomas were awarded to a total of 571 students of 38 different nationalities.

Luisa Lambertini, Rector of USI, and Michele Foletti, Mayor of the City of Lugano, took the floor.

In the first part of the afternoon, the Bachelor degrees (155) were proclaimed and awarded in the presence of the directors of the study programmes.

The second part of the afternoon was marked by the awarding of Master's degrees to 376 recent graduates and of Doctorate degrees (40).

The head of the USI Alumni Service, Silvia Invrea, spoke during the ceremonies.

The ceremonies were enlivened by musical interludes provided by the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana.
