Andrea Foglia, Technology Transfer Manager at USI, has been appointed member of the Council of the Swiss Technology Transfer Association (swiTT). The association brings together professionals from universities, university hospitals, research institutes (RIs) and other non-profit research organisations from all over Switzerland who are active in the transfer of knowledge to the private sector.

The Council is currently made up of two representatives from Universities (USI and University of Geneva), two from the Federal Institutes of Technology (ETHZ and EPFL), one from the UAS (ZHAW), and one from the Research Institutes (EMPA).

USI takes over for Unitectra (Technology Transfer Office of UniZH, UniBS and UniBE).

For Andrea Foglia, this appointment "is a very attractive opportunity. It is a privileged observatory on the future developments of technology transfer activities and a way to expand USI's network, both academic and non-academic".
