Intelligent Systems is an active area of research at the USI Faculty of Informatics. We work on Artificial Intelligence, Data Analysis, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Optimization, Pattern Recognition, Robotics.

Prof. Alippi's current research activity addresses adaptation and learning in non-stationary environments, graph-basd learning and Intelligence for embedded, cyber-physical systems and IoT.

Natasha Sharygina

Prof. Sharygina's research interests are in software and hardware verification (e.g., model-checking, abstract interpretation, decision procedures, satisfiability modulo theories - SMT), information security, and concurrent and distributed computing. She heads the Formal Verification and Security Lab.
