26 May 2026
On Tuesday, 30 June, from 11:00 am to noon in Room D0.02 on the East Campus Lugano, USI will host a seminar open to the university community, delivered by Professor Chei Sian Lee from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.
The lecture, titled "Nudging Learners in Digital Environments: Insights from Singapore", will examine the concept of "digital nudges" within online learning environments, with a particular focus on the implications of artificial intelligence in educational processes.
Drawing on research projects developed across higher education institutions in Singapore, the seminar will explore how digital environments can integrate informational cues and nudging strategies to positively guide student behaviours and foster more personalised, meaningful learning experiences. The session will also offer insights into human-computer interaction (HCI), addressing key themes such as user perception, technology acceptance, ethical considerations, and future outlooks regarding the responsible deployment of digital nudging in the era of artificial intelligence.
