Short Bio

I'm originally from Maranguape (Ceará, Brazil), although I grew up in Feira de Santana (Bahia, Brazil). I got a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UFBA (Federal University of Bahia) in 2007, a Master's degree, also in Computer Science, from UFRGS (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul) in 2009, and a PhD degree in Informatics from USI (Università della Svizzera italiana) in 2016.

In 2013, I lived in Ithaca (NY, USA) for six months, working as a research intern at Cornell University. There, I worked under the direction of Robbert van Renesse and Kenneth Birman, besides still working with Fernando Pedone, who was there as a visiting scholar.

I'm currently working as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, where we work hard, have fun, and make history! :) I came to Madrid for this position in June 2017, and before that I was living in Barcelona since the beginning of 2016, working at Midokura.
