Registration

If you intend to attend the workshop, please send an e-mail to N. Sukumar or Kai Hormann. The registration fee for the workshop is $100, which can be paid upon arrival at the workshop.

Travel Fellowship

Students and young investigators who would like to attend the workshop are welcome to submit a travel fellowship application, which covers the registration fee, accommodation, and travel costs. We particularly encourage applications from those under-represented in science and engineering. All those who receive a travel award will be required to present a poster at the workshop. The fellowship covers registration fees, accommodation, and travel costs. The travel fellowship application must include the following three items:
  1. Curriculum vitae (1 or 2 pages) of the applicant.
  2. Description (1 page) of the applicant's research and how attending this workshop will be beneficial to him/her.
  3. Title and abstract (1 page) describing the poster presentation given by the applicant. Apart from generalized barycentric coordinates, poster presentations in related areas of computer graphics (subdivision surfaces, splines), computational mechanics (meshfree, B-splines, discontinuous Galerkin, enriched finite elements, mesh generation), and computational mathematics (convergence and error estimates, rational interpolants) are also welcome.
Please include the above three documents in a single PDF, named Firstname_Lastname.pdf and e-mail it to N. Sukumar. The deadline for the application is: June 26, 2012.
