Master’s degree from the Faculty of Informatics
The Faculty of Informatics offers one general Master’s degree (Master of Science in Informatics) and five specialized master’s programmes.
The specialized master’s programmes include two semesters of core computer science foundations with four different specializations. The specializations concentrate on different kinds of information and communication systems but allow the students to select some courses based on their interests.
The Master in Applied Informatics, offered jointly with the University of Applied Sciences (SUPSI), is a three-semester professional programme. All other master’s degrees consist of four semesters and, except Embedded Systems Design, share the courses of the first semester. Each master includes 12 ECTS units of elective courses on the basis of the student’s interest. The specializations are:
Computational Sciences (new!)
Distributed Systems
Embedded System Design
Intelligent Systems
Software Design
Applied Informatics
