The Faculty of Informatics currently offers five Master's degrees:
- Master of Science in Informatics
- Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science
- Master of Science in Embedded Systems Design *
- Master of Science in Applied Informatics **
- Master of Science in Management and Informatics ***
In collaboration with Politecnico di Milano the faculty proposes the unique opportunity to spend a period of time as study abroad aimed at achieving a double Master's Degree .
All master programmes consist of four semesters full-time study (120 ECTS). They start with a semester of foundational courses (30 ECTS), followed by two semesters of advanced courses (60 ECTS), and finish with a substantial Master's thesis (30 ECTS).
The Master of Science in Informatics allows students to specialize in one of the seven research areas, covered by our professors:
- Computer Systems
- Geometric and Visual Computing
- Information Systems
- Intelligent Systems
- Programming Languages
- Software Engineering
- Theory and Algorithms
A specialization is obtained by writing the Master's thesis and taking 18 ECTS of courses in the respective area.
