My name is Eduardo and I am software engineer at Midokura since April, 2016.
Midokura's aim is to solve the networking problems innate in infrastructure as a service (IaaS) public and private clouds.
Its goal is to build a fully distributed, decentralized, software defined virtual network built for IaaS stacks.
I am a PhD in Computer Science by the Faculty of Informatics of USI (Università della Svizzera italiana), in Lugano, Switzerland. I also hold a PhD degree awarded by the Informatics Institute of UFRGS (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul), in Porto Alegre, Brazil. My research advisor was Fernando Pedone, and my co-advisor in Brazil was Cláudio Geyer.
In 2013, I spent half a year working as a Research Intern at the Department of Computer Science of Cornell University, under the direction of Robbert van Renesse and Kenneth Birman. I went along with Fernando Pedone, who was there as a visiting scholar.
Before starting my PhD, I got my Master's degree from UFRGS, and my Bachelor's degree from the DCC (Computer Science Department) of UFBA (Universidade Federal da Bahia), in Salvador, Brazil.
