International Workshop on High Performance Methods in Computational Science (IWHPMCS)
The numerical simulation of complex systems as climate or as multiscale
phenomena in physics and mechanics is a highly demanding task, which
requires sound knowledge from informatics, mathematics, and the
respective application area. In this workshop, we consider different
approaches for developing high performance methods for advanced
simulations in engineering and life sciences. Aiming at efficient and
robust solution methods for real world applications, particular
emphasis is put on the capability of the methods to be applicable on
modern high performance computer systems.
The Institute of Computational Science (ICS) at the University of Lugano (USI) is pleased to announce the Workshop on High performance Methods in
Computational Science which will explore recent research results in
advanced simulation methods for complex systems, multiscale problems,
heterogeneous systems and optimization. The goal of the workshop is to
present methods and applications in supercomputing to different
scientific areas and to stimulate interaction among computer and
computational scientists and mathematicians. All interested researchers
are welcome to attend the workshop.
