I am also a reviewer in the European Commission's 6th Framework Programme, as well as for the Institute for the Promotion of Innovation by Science and Technology in Flanders (IWT).

Conference Organization

As for conference organisations, I co-organized the Symposium The computer in the 21st century, a German-speaking event here at the ETH Zurich with more than 250 participants (in March 2005).

Pervasive'02 Logo I was Financial and Publicity Co-Chair of the Pervasive 2002 conference, which was held from August 26-28, 2002 also at the ETH Zurich.

I was one of the Co-Organizers of the Disappearing Computer Jamboree 2001, an internal event of the Disappearing Computer Inititative held from October 18-19, 2001 (again, at the ETH Zurich). The DC-Initiative is a research program within the EU's Fifth Framework Program, involving 16 projects and more than 180 researchers from all over Europe.

And last not least, I was Publicity, Registration and Local Arrangements Chair of the Second International Symposium on Agent Systems and Applications (ASA 2000) and Fourth International Symposium on Mobile Agents (MA 2000), which has been held at a Joint Symposium (ASA/MA 2000) from September 13-15, 2000 (yes, here at the ETH Zurich).
